City Cluster - IS #2

The second image in the IN-SHADOW Series, offers the stage within which much of the story will unfold. Amidst a desert-like wasteland emerges a cluster of buildings, severed from the organic patterns of nature. The city hosts an ecosystem in which the web of our psyches interpenetrate, organized by the ethos of the collective unconscious. Mired in man-made laws, rules, and regulations – the rigid grid of the metropolitan city acts as a mould for the consciousness of millions. It standardizes the movements, thoughts, and behaviours of its citizens, offering pleasures, rewards, punishments, and the safety of belonging to a system. Severed from the equilibrium of nature, the city becomes a breeding ground for various neuroses and soul misalignments. These in turn create its many memetic subcultures. 4200px X 2365px
