COUNTING UP

Time is a funny thing. Like when we are having fun it seems to fly by but then other times drag on... And memories skew the time that has passed, and distort our idea of when and how long. It's fascinating. The best is when something happens that lasts forever... that transcends time and space and in a way becomes immortal. Quiet acts of kindness, or sparks of joy or love... these moments don't have a time stamp or a duration, or even a physical place in space. They are otherwordly, and while they can't be comprehended, they are known and understood by all. They are like infinity... or the metaverse... incomprehensible yet ubiquitous. Think of something that has erased time and lifted you into another dimension... and then think about how we are actually spending our lives counting up to those magical moments... I know I am. --- This piece was illustrated on iPad Pro using Procreate, and then animated using Adobe After Effects.
