Storm at Sea

Unique artwork, 1/1 by the contemporary artist, Wolfe von Lenkiewicz. Storm at Sea is inspired by the French novelist, Jules Verne. A strange craft hovers over the waves with gods turning great search lights over the sea. The textures of rocks, surf and clouds contrast with the smooth metallic colours of the vessel, all lit in dramatic chiaroscuro. In his latest digital series, Von Wolfe attempts to retrodict art historical narratives, in particular iconic works from the world’s most famous museums. European classical perspectives are presented as operands subject to change.
