“DREAM WORLD VIII” is the 8th piece in Jacob’s 10 piece genesis collection. It’s the first of three video pieces, each designed to seamlessly loop and all accompanied by custom scored tracks which also loop. “DREAM WORLD” looks at connecting Jacob’s love to travel and his unique experiences, with the surrealism of the real world. These three videos look at specific moments in Jacob’s professional and personal life over the past few years. Perseverance — noun - Persistence in doing something despite difficulty or delay in achieving success. “There’s one word that comes to mind when I watch this video, perseverance. Captured in Colombia during a period of complete uncertainty in my life, this video perfectly emulates the feeling I had of not knowing what was coming next, but also realising that there was work to be done to get myself through the darkness and toward the light.
