In 2020 when Covid took over Europe quickly, I wanted to use art to help people who are affected by the heavy lockdowns and quarantine, to feel peace and calm from their homes. With this piece, I wanted to capture something that many of us already have a connection to. This was the reason why I chose to use a subway train as a symbol, because we all have some kind of emotion attached to it, mostly negative and an old memory to the busy commute to work, when the world still was safe. I wanted to take this negative emotion and try an experiment, to see, if we can create something peaceful and positive from it. This was the original idea behind this artwork. Orginally posted on Instagram, this piece was very successful and was quickly shared in several exhibitions, in cities, such as Milan, Shanghai and Tokyo. - Then later that year, Skrillex reached out to me about this piece and wanted to create his own personal version as a teaser for his collaboration with Kid Cudi, for the song "Ty Dolla $ign – Temptations (feat. Kid Cudi)". At that time, they all shared this piece as one of the teasers to promote the song.
