Unveiling The Veiled

As all the heavier elements are born in exploding stars, we are all children of supernovae. The Veil nebula supernova remnant measures 70 light-years across and lies in the constellation Cygnus (The Swan) at a distance of 1500 light-years. I collected light for this photo between 2012 and 2021. Total exposure time was over 45 hours. The 3D model was made in 2021. Details at http://jiipee.art
