I think life is a fragile balance between copping mechanisms and how much you can take of reality.
wether it's family, religion, technology, self development or any other bubble we chose to inhabit, story to tell our selves or form of drug we chose to consume in order to find a modicum of happiness, they are just that: mechanisms that keep us afloat. they are seductive and immersive and we forget we use them and why.
so this is the first of my waking-up-and-forgetting-i-did-so series where i'll be painting the walls of my bubble with reflections of it.
the central elements of this work are inspired from different childhood stories that stuck with me, such as the notion of spinning yarns out of moonlight and the brave Pull-Push beast. They represent that state of grace and improbable balance i stubbornly dream of.
