Procedurally generated painting inspired by the work of Morris Louis (American, 1912–1962). Known for his "stain" paintings, Louis would pour diluted acrylic resin paint directly onto unprimed canvas. By effectively staining the canvas, this process allowed the pigments to completely soak into the fibers, leaving vibrant strands of color behind. During his acclaimed Stripe period, Louis would staple canvas to his studio wall, carefully select a color and a location, and then let gravity and chance "paint" each strand.
