The COVID-19 pandemic had a profound and devastating impact on the performance arts industry, forcing even the most illustrious and esteemed theaters to close their doors for the foreseeable future. As our favorite plays and dramas were cancelled, hundreds of thousands of structures that once served as a home to the world's most distinguished acts were now sitting eerily empty. While a deafening silence still echoes throughout a multitude of theater districts today, a singular beam of light has managed to emerge from the darkness, illuminating and re-embracing the stories and livelihoods that were ravaged by disease. The road to recovery is long and treacherous, but the resilience of artists and entertainers, alike, will carry us to new heights and experiences. Although the obstacles that await us are cloaked in shadow and mystery, one thing remains certain: the show must go on.
