Los Angeles from the Bobcat Fire

The soft, orange glow of the Bobcat Fire burning across the San Gabriel Mountains is echoed by the twinkling lights of the Los Angeles Basin in the distance. This image was created on assignment for Harper’s and is part of a sixteen-page portfolio of my fire photographs from Australia, California, and Oregon in the June 2021 issue.
