In February 2021, we went on a trip around the South Island of New Zealand and due to the closed borders we had it pretty much to ourselves. I took this photograph at dawn on Lake Matheson and with no trace of humanity in sight, it felt utterly surreal and timeless to have this perfect moment of earth to ourselves. This photograph is that feeling.
