The Visionary

What is photographed must have happened before the camera. That is why photography remains the best medium to testify a performance, the coming to life of a vision. Through this surreal photograph the artist gives life a human who is able to keep a free mind in the midst of our hazy world, a human who bravely and consciously resists numbness in favour of enlightenment. After all, in stormy times like ours, imagination remains not only a luxury but also the outcome of conscious choice. Thus the photograph becomes the portrait of the ideal version of each of us: a citizen reflecting all the energy around her and using it to imagine and build a future which does not exist yet.
