The Warriors

Inspired by the yearly Awa Dance (阿波踊り) summer festivals I used to attend while living in Tokyo, and the atmosphere from the movie 'The Cell'. With this piece (and many others), I aimed to merge elements of my African heritage with the decade-long time I spent living in Japan. An ongoing curiousity I continue to investigate. The collector will also receive a 41.5cm X 52.5cm first edition print on canvas.
