An Irish Fairytale

Ireland has been my home for the past 8 years and it holds a special place in my heart. To sum up Ireland in a few words. Unspoiled. Rural. Rugged. Mystical. Magical. Charm. Unique. Green. While going through my Irish images, I felt that this one really showcased the true beauty and feel of the emerald isle. This image was taken in county Donegal of Mt. Errigal. The setting in itself is the stuff that you would expect to see in a fairytale! I was knocked off of my feet when the sky erupted with color. This shot was quite a challenge to shoot due to being eaten alive by "midges"! For those of you who don't know, midges are like mosquitoes but a lot smaller and travel in swarms. They can be pretty intense! A small price to pay for being able to capture a moment like this!
