The Rise of Scorpio

This piece depicts the journey of ascension within the zodiacal sign of Scorpio. Though, knowing astrology or having scorpio placements is irrelevant to benefiting from the lessons. Being a water based sign, Scorpio navigates the territory of emotions. Scorpio, though wet and water based is also a sign which is regarded as hot, temperature wise. Hot, wet spaces need regular filtering otherwise they become inhospitable. In this sense Scorpio needs coping mechanisms. Coping mechanisms can come in many different shapes and forms, this painting depicts the ascension from Scorpion, to Inferno, to Eagle with various coping skills depicted throughout.
