Broken

I’ve seen pain, I’ve seen joy. I’ve been broken, I’ve been mended. But there is beauty in being broken, Just like the song by Leonard Cohen goes: “Ring the bells that still can ring Forget your perfect offering There is a crack, a crack in everything That's how the light gets in.” What do you do when you fall? Do you stay down, broken? Do you think “there’s no point after all”? When you get hurt, do you leave your heart open? I know I’m broken, It hurts, yes it does, But that’s the only way the light can get in, So it’s for a just cause.
