Asymmetry - The Bloom

Asymmetry - The Bloom is a continuation of the themes explored in its predecessor, 'The Root', striking a balance between light and perspective. At first glance, the piece appears to be an abstract of wildflowers in bloom, with delicate and ornate Renaissance-inspired shapes. But upon closer inspection, the artwork reveals a deeper story of time, guiding the viewer clockwise along the organic, winding paths of its composition. The artwork's aesthetic is intentionally reminiscent of the imperfect texture of printed newspapers, serving as a reminder of its digital nature. By embracing this "grungy" look, it aims to challenge the perceived lifelessness and perfection of digital art. Instead, it offers a unique and thought-provoking reflection on the interplay between traditional and digital media, and how our understanding of beauty is evolving in the digital age. The monochromatic palette, which ranges from the hot, intense light of the sun to the depths of black is a subtle reference to the tale of Icarus and reminds us of the opportunities that life presents, but also the dangers of overreaching and losing balance. Beauty lies in its imperfections. As the philosopher Nietzsche once said, "You must have chaos within you to give birth to a dancing star." We embody this idea by embracing the unpredictable and chaotic nature of life and transforming it into something beautiful and transcendent.
