The Doom Minters, Ink On Paper (hand drawn)
Logic of The Doom Minters:
The intent of this drop is symbolic. It's crucial to show that a culture will function in any market, with hope or complete lack of. In this case, economic advantage is little or likely none. This is good. We create. Sometimes an idea so simple can carry more value than ETH ever could. Cultural survival through art alone will literally be worth more by default. ETH and the economy become secondary and ironically worth less without the art.
By self capitulating my own floor i'm freeing myself from these economic constraints. No money motive exists. And, long term this will only focus and strengthen my resolve to become a better artist, which in turn, a collector would be very wise to agree.
I have an abnormally high risk tolerance from experience. I was essentially an unpaid full time unpaid artist within the contemporary NYC art world for 20 years. If I sold at .05E, that is close to the equivalent of what I would earn in one year. Selling at .05E I perceive differently, it's viewed as money I otherwise would not have.
This drop is an actual acceptance of doom within the constraints of this space. This is in opposition to an illustration of doom which becomes a caricature and has nothing of value to really say. As said above, .05ETH is something, i'm used to nothing. I am entirely indifferent to any outcome.
I am decimating my floor.
