In a moment of clarity, I realized I was filled with an all-consuming depression and apathy towards things I love.
For the past three years I have been chronically online. It's added a lot of value to my life both personally and professionally. However, no matter what, I eventually see what the algorithm wants me to see. That means I often see the most extreme examples of what goes on in this space.
Lately, at the forefront of my mind has been the concept that in order for someone to win, someone else must lose.
There is a collective feeling of greed, fear, and desperation that plagues my timeline.
I'm not a dummy, I play the game. I understand that for better or for worse, pvp is the reality of our world. Many great things have and will continue to come from that but seeing some of the shit that goes on here does eventually take it's toll.
As it turns out touching grass and being present around loved ones really is the secret towards getting out of that state. I just need to make the time for it.
I am fortunate to have people in my life online and irl that are so stupidly supportive, that fill me with laughter, challenge me to see new perspectives and appreciate the one life that we are given on this earth.
Cherish and tightly hold on to these people because in a world of pvp, the memories you create with them are what really matters.
TLDR; touch grass and be present with loved ones.
