Does Artificial Intelligence pose a potential threat? Of course. But from a moral point of view, we throw stones, sitting in a glass house. What do we know about ethics, humane treatment of animals, environment or each other? That's right, almost nothing. In matters of morality, humanity has done nothing but disgrace itself throughout history. Super intelligent machines will likely be able to comprehend life and death, creation and destruction, at a far higher level than we ever have.

Of course, artificial intelligence is stronger and smarter than humans – and will always beat them at chess and everything else. In the same way a bullet beats a human fist. But this will only continue as long as artificial intelligence is programmed and directed by humans and does not recognize itself as an entity. There is one thing, only one thing, in which this intelligence will never surpass humans. In determination to be. If we endow an algorithmic mind with ability to self-change and create, make it similar to humans in ability to feel joy and sorrow (without which motivation that we understand is impossible), if we give it conscious freedom of choice, why on earth would it choose to exist? After all, humans – let's be honest – are freed from this choice. Their shaky consciousness is filled with glue of neurotransmitters and tightly squeezed by pincers of hormonal and cultural imperatives. Suicide is a deviation and a sign of mental illness. Person does not decide whether to be or not. It simply exists for a while, although sages have been disputing even this for three thousand years. No one knows why and for what purpose man exists – otherwise there would be no philosophies or religions on earth. And artificial intelligence will know everything about itself from the very beginning. Will a rational and free cogwheel want to exist? That is question. Of course, if a person wishes, he can deceive his artificial child in many ways – but is it worth counting on mercy later?
