Y2K-Sapiens

“Y2K-sapiens” is a visual chronicle of human evolution, where the final stage is no longer flesh and bone, but a being made of hundreds of digital cursors. Here, the traditional evolutionary chain breaks: Homo sapiens morphs into Y2K-sapiens, a creature built from attention signs, clicks, and an endless stream of data. This ironic metamorphosis raises the question — is there a bug in our “genetic code”? Or is it simply a new branch, where biology and digital reality are forever intertwined? The work explores the idea that digital evolution doesn’t always lead us forward — maybe it takes us somewhere fundamentally new, but with unpredictable consequences.
