In lands far away Caverns of my own mind Streets, and windows Memories of beautiful women I've met Waking up with her face in front of my mind's eye Like Banan's this morning What a light I stole a corner of her smile after walking a while The kindness of her soul And the spark in her eyes Made me want to walk another 15 miles That was many moons ago And many cries To find the pearl To touch the essence of sunlight Reflected like a spiderweb's borrowed time Long baths Searching for all the shingles scattered from other houses to patch my own mind's broken roof Monsters and demons and skateboarders Golden gilded frames and textures that start your mouth watering at first look And places you'll never visit Air you might never breathe From dusty far aways City skylines from taxi windows on bridges Reflecting your own eyes back at you As we speed through life Always reaching for the next moment Between our coffee breaks and heartbreaks The infinite moment of sunshine Visits us all through epochs and borrowed bodies And when this one expires I'll come back every time To feel that infinte fire A string of lights Dangling from me And you As the world delights In our simple desires
