This is the philosophy behind Faded22/, the deeply personal project by Bruno Cerasi. Following a stroke in 2009 that permanently altered his eyesight, Bruno transformed his evolving visual experience into an artistic exploration of fragility, adaptation, and resilience.
In 2022, he introduced the first chapter of the series: 12 digital butterflies generated through an algorithm translating monthly eye examinations into unique colors, textures, and forms. Each butterfly became a visual testimony of a single month, suspended between uncertainty and hope.
In 2023, Faded22/ II expanded this journey, documenting transformation through new visual mutations and emotional landscapes.
In 2024, Faded22/ III marked a year of rebirth and renewed perspective, distilled into an exclusive 1/1 artwork released on SuperRare.
Today, the story continues with Faded22/ IV.
The 2025 chapter represents evolution in its purest form: a deeper dialogue between human vulnerability and algorithmic creation. The butterfly, once a symbol of fragility, now becomes an emblem of persistence and metamorphosis. Shapes fracture and regenerate, colors drift between memory and abstraction, while the artwork captures another year of adaptation, endurance, and transformation.
