The history of Incoherentism
Incoherentism was born in a hut in rural Finland four years ago. Today, as a movement it’s
got a dedicated following in its birth place.
Incoherentism in general
Inchorentism addresses the questions no other specific -ism asks - ”What and in what extent
can be observed?” And "How real are our observations?"
The Philosophy behind Incoherentism
The philosophy behind incoherentism is based on a theory of the individual that one can
never know what it is to be someone else. An individual may indirectly identify with the
other's experiences based on his or her own patterns of thought and emotion, but respond
uniquely to stimuli within his or her own microcosm. With this formula, there is a physically
incomprehensible, unstable, but independent abstract world X (later ”the cosmos") which is
interpreted by the filters Y, Z. According to the principles of incoherence, these
interpretations of the cosmos and existence appear, to be unique experiences for each
consciousness, manifesting to others e.g. self-expression (art, communication) and thinking -
the cosmos (the thing to be interpreted) itself being macrocosmic systematic infinite. If the
filter is sort of broken - consciousness cannot identify itself, even indirectly, with another's
experiences or thinking, then there is no common language for abstract things. Thus, self-
expression also becomes inconsistent and thus incomprehensible to others. (Examples of
these thought disorders include the attached poems of neologism, which roughly sum up
incoherence as an art form, clearly separating incoherence from pure unproductive madness.)
Artistic work and incoherentism
The contradictions between inner and outer reality, "What I Feel" and "What I See", appear as
symbols of incoherence that lack the symbolic values of the traditional concept of art. They
can only be interpreted as contradictions of the internal space, because they are unstructured
and thus represent an interpretation, not a matter to be interpreted. Rather, incoherntism tends
to interpret reality as symbolic than the other way around. Incoherentism explains the
incomprehension of reality in a fragmentary way. Incoherentism is more realistic in depicting
the world (internal or external) than art within the coherence, because the incoherentist
understands the concept of time. The artistic process does not really begin and never ends,
and incoherence must be maintained regularly. Incoherentism makes the non-figurative
figurative, and the figurative non-figurative - it can be applied to all forms of art. The most
important thing about the quality of the work is that the work is not throughly intelligible, but
it is sufficiently figurative to name the things that the incomprehensible talks about.
Incoherentism tends to convey a sense of unnamed things, leaving many doors open, as if by
blinking first on an unconscious level, and after possibly becoming intellectually
understandable. The Incoherentist speaks a language no one else can. A thorough
understanding of technology and an inner knowledge of what is true and how to make it
visible create the Master Incoherentist. The responsibility to remain faithful to the inner truth
is great and demanding. Incoherentism is not a plot to prove, but it gives a deep picture of
humanity. The Incoherentist actively strives for a meta-level of soul where questions are
replaced by information.
Incoherence and audience
Free association plays an important role in reading incoherentism. Man is most true in free
association because the burden of a defective intellect is less - hence the symbol of
incoherence is a stimulus to free association plays an important role in reading incoherence.
Therefore, incoherentism actively seeks to support human mental development.
Incoherentism aims to provide a genuine experience of the incomprehensible in the absence
of a common language. Also, the works themselves can be fully interpreted as symbols,
signs, visible metaphors of what they tell - they can be stripped away from the intrinsic value
of art.
What to expect next from the Incoherentist?
A public plea to add a law which calls on every citizen to wear a helmet for the end of the
world.
