Fresh from an online purchase (6 hours ago), ṨÄṮÖṨḦÏ received his/her generic dashboard… he removed all unnecessary garbage that got bundled with it and reconfigured it with just a single button… the Hash button
༄༄༄༄༄༄༄༄No this was not an auto reorder button for when he’d run out of his favourite green smokable… this was an essential aspect of his creation, bitcoin the currency and Bitcoin the protocol, for it contributed to:
🅟🅡🅞🅞🅕 🅞🅕 🅦🅞🅡🅚 - the amount of computing power being used to win the 10 minute block reward
🅘🅜🅜🅤🅣🅐🅑🅘🅛🅘🅣🅨 - the essential game 🕹theory element that meant a bad actor would need to accumulate a majority of hash power in order to do a 51% attack and thereby rewrite history
🅓🅔🅒🅔🅝🅣🅡🅐🅛🅘🅢🅐🅣🅘🅞🅝/🅓🅘🅢🅣🅡🅘🅑🅤🅣🅘🅞🅝 - This was at the heart of his creation… the fact that anyone and everyone could take part… the power to control the money supply had been decentralised
༄༄༄༄༄༄༄༄In turn each of these aspects contribute to the technical value of bitcoin
༄༄༄༄༄༄༄༄The data loaded up with the 3 pieces of crucial information combined to form a visual matrix, a slightly chaotic pattern from which he could derive more understanding
🅿🆁🅸🅲🅴 - the price for 1 btc
🆅🅾🅻🆄🅼🅴 - the trading volume
🅷🅰🆂🅷 🆁🅰🆃🅴 - the amount of computational power
༄༄༄༄༄༄༄༄The Price data at the front, morphed into the Trading Volume data at the back… both these sets of data passed through the spline/spine in the middle which showed the increase in Hash Rate over the same period
༄༄༄༄༄༄༄༄What influence did the Hash Rate have over the price of bitcoin?
༄༄༄༄༄༄༄༄He laughed to himself because he didn’t really know the answer but he knew that the Hash rate represented the infrastructure and in simple terms the greater the infrastructure the more value it added to his open source 💊 solution
༄༄༄༄༄༄༄༄He laughed again at the insanity of this impossible button, because there was yet another impossible button that he need to create… the Adoption button
༄༄༄༄༄༄༄༄Regardless, adoption would come naturally, it was a chicken or egg situation, and there were many factors that would lead to its increase… price was one of them, and an increase in the value of the network was another, and an increase in the hash Rate was part of that… so naturally he coded his button not to go to 10 but one more… this button went to 11
༄༄༄༄༄༄༄༄His Dashboard updated with the next actions for him to complete… he questioned the validity of taping a banana 🍌 to the wall, but monkey see monkey do… he sat back in his seat and begun strapping himself in…
༄༄༄༄༄༄༄༄There was a rumbling in the ether… all around the world governments were increasingly struggling to keep up with technological advancements and and were perpetually on the brink of economic collapse… their pyramidical power structures were beginning to crumble… rocky times were ahead but so was the neon singularity
༄༄༄༄༄༄༄༄People now had in their hands the technology to replace the centralised totalitarian power structures and gradually migrate to decentralised structures written by the people for the people and planet
༄༄༄༄༄༄༄༄The Hash button flashed repeatedly, 11:11… 11:11… it awaited his final spinal tap of confirmation 🚀
༄༄༄༄༄༄༄༄This was my attempt at making data beautiful and playful and seeing if there was anything that jumped out by entwining these 3 variables together.
