"Dream Worms, when treated well, guarantee their keepers good dreams for the rest of their lives after the Merge. nobody but the keeper knows how they look after the cocooning is over, as they merge with their keepers minds, living within their dreams forevermore. Rumors say that starveling Dream Worms lead to a variant species called the Night Wyrms, but given that satisfying them is as easy as going to sleep, no one has ever been able to confirm it." -- The Girik Bestiary (I'm having a bit of fun with the 'lore' of my art lately)
