Other Intimacy

The first in an “Intimacy” collaboration with artist Ziggy Ray. The collection is a reminder of the nuances of intimacy and the human relationship with it as a critical need. “Other Intimacy” is a piece that flaunts a flowing and intertwined ocean of kissing and hand-holding; two intimate bonding mechanisms conducive to attachment and trust, respectively. The levity of basking in these activities mindfully, as indicators of a relationship’s dynamics and a component of the foundation on which it will function, is often unacknowledged. We have a tendency to misuse and overuse our touch as an ice-breaker and in doing so we confuse comfort for chemistry.
