"葛" means 'Kudzu' in Japanese. It's a very fast growing plant that covers a lot of structures in Japan during the Summer. I enjoy the theme of nature overtaking buildings, and with this piece I tried to capture that. The streets are devoid of human activity, diverted rivers have reverted over time and now use the roads and alleyways as their pathways. Kudzu is taking over the exterior and interior of homes and other structures.
