"Kaybid brings images of wild animals to city streets through a blended technique that includes street art, conventional collage, animation, video, gif, and AR. The project is based on wild animals –the other inhabitants of our world which do not, and will not, want to find space for themselves in the city– walking on sidewalks, crossing through or walking around buildings, simply passing through the city at their own pace, in silent and serene steps. In the ongoing project, Kaybid’s animals coursing silently through the streets show us that humans aren’t the only owners of the planet and the urban ecosystem is hopelessly alien to the nature, while reminding us that nothing is permanent and everything just passes through. //// Kaybid uses handmade collages for each and every frame in the animation. The artist then fixes the collages onto streets, photographs them, and creates cyclical animations to make the videos of animals walking through streets. The artist marks the locations of all animals in the streets on Google Maps to follow their existence in the city, how they stood up to urban conditions, and how they deteriorated and became extinct, and photographs these processes to post them on their social media accounts. The project has been going on for over two years, and includes nearly 400 handmade collages of 30 different animal species." //// www.kaybid.live //// www.instagram.com/kaybid
