Modern Christians tend to celebrate the birth and resurrection of Jesus during Christmas and Easter, but why not celebrate the Transfiguration when Jesus took three of his disciples to a mountain and while praying transfigured and became radiant in glory. The background is styled from the Icon in Yaroslavi, Russia, 1516 and the figure of Christ is based on Peter Paul Rubens painting in 1604.
