Inspired by the Romantic painter Caspar David Friedrich who knew how to represent in landscape the great struggles of nature. Caspar's piece was about the sea, ice and a shipwreck. I have lapidified the ice to rock to symbolise how I see the artists of history as being the solid foundation that I want to build upon.
