Sloth

Sloth is a part of the Hedonism Now series of oil paintings that explore the seven deadly sins and their contemporary manifestations. I believe that the sin of Sloth is very well connected with the idea of Memento Mori. A constant reminder of our inevitable death is its' purpose. The lesson behind this idea is to not waste time on trivial things. Today people consume a lot of time on immediate pleasures offered by our awesome entertainment technologies, forgetting about self-reflection. This NFT is based on the Sloth original oil painting which was painted on an aluminium panel of 33x50cm. I've animated it in After Effects just to enhance some key elements without distraction from the overall composition. 10-sec loop video. mp4 2500x1654 px
