"The Probability Leech, known informally as 'The taste of luck', It was discovered entering into the Ether & embedding itself into the Pool Together ecosystem, a well known cryptocurrency-based no loss lottery. It had attached itself to several smart contracts dedicated to probabilistic calculations, and seemed to be feeding on these calculations in some manner. While the only observable consequence seemed to be slightly increased electricity consumption, it was determined that touching their physical form, which seemed to appear spontaneously in mining centers hosting parts of the contracts, led to a slight increase in the luck of the affected individual, increasing the probability of landing heads in a 10,000 coin flip study to above 60% for approximately an hour. Subsequent studies proved that a more aggressive approach (mulching the Leech into an elixir with several detoxifying ingredients) would permanently increase the drinkers luck by a extreme amount, leading to the imprisonment of the lead researcher for directly causing the bankruptcy of several local casinos (as well as permanently destroying valuable research material without authorization)" -- The Girik Bestiary, chapter III
