What does the internet say about us? To which degree our digital counterpart is close to our physical self? How is our visual footprint on the Internet and emerging Metaverses contaminating or enriching the mental construct we call the image of ourselves? Which are the digital traits and the idiosyncrasies that depict our digital "portraiture"?
These are some of the questions that inspire "Self-portrait". A non-objective, unified representation of the images that result from my name search on Google.
Highly manipulated through digital techniques, the images disintegrate in colorful layers of displaced pixels, melting together in an impenetrable abstract composition that pays homage to action painting and abstract expressionism.
