John Milton said our minds can turn a heaven into a hell and sometimes we are guilty of doing just that. The little creature has big ears because it is always hearing about the problems of life. It has a big mouth because it is always complaining about life. But its eyes are closed because it is not seeing the beauty it is surrounded by. For this piece, I drew inspiration from Hieronymus Bosch, Takashi Murakami and Pokemon.
