Unseen Gaze is a digital work composed from scans of "David with the Head of Goliath", painted by Paolo Veronese in 1580. Here, x-ray and infrared images taken during the restoration of the painting reveal hidden figures invisible to the naked eye and provide a rare glimpse into the artist's creative process. This piece showcases the importance of restoration and presents a use case for cultural institutions to use digital tools to deepen the understanding of pieces in their collection.
