The significance of Micky Mouse cannot be overstated enough. Since its dawn, the global economy has been focused on things that we need to survive such as commodities, production, energy and services. To suggest that there was value in creativity would have resulted in the whole of Wall Street laughing at you. But then came Micky Mouse and the success of Disney. This little cartoon character shifted the capitalistic mindset of investors. Now NFTs are allowing the rest of the left behind parts of the economy: creativity, community and sentimentality to get access to immense funding and flourish.
