BoJack

BoJack Horseman is an animated character who is over-conscious of his existence. Without a religious structure, his over-consciousness leads him to nihilism where he questions the point of his reality. This leads him to depression and self destructive behaviours. The anthropomorphic horse is an anti-christian symbol that started with the Roman Alexamenos graffito which people used to mock the early followers of Jesus by drawing a crucified human with a donkey's head. For me BoJack Horseman represents the difficult task my secular generation has in trying to understand the meaning of life without a god to guide them.
