The creator is a piece made in reverence to the gods of creation in the various African cultures. The three symbols revolving around the red lit orb is part of many symbols called Ga Samai(Ga symbology), each symbol represents a proverb. These proverbs guide the principles and philosophies of the Ga-Adanges. Like many African cultures, proverbs are an essential part of life and many ethnic groups in Africa create symbols to represent these proverbs. An example is the Akans of Ghana and Ivory Coast.
