I shot this rock inside a cave at Jaap Se Baai beach, Brenton On Sea, The Garden Route, East Coast, South Africa. It was shot inside a cave in the beach rocks which is tidal, the waves were coming in and out as I was shooting. It was lit by the sunrise light coming in through the cave opening. I have been to this beach prior to shooting on a number of occasions and back to this beach on numerous occasions to shoot photographs inside the cave and have never been able to as the sand level has always been too high, covering up the entrance. On the occasion that I shot this, it was the only time that I was even aware that the cave was there. Shot on my Canon 5Dmk2 and converted to Monochrome using Nik Silver Efex Pro 2.
