Odradek is a creature in Franz Kafka's tale "The Cares of a Family Man", and is also described at "The Book of Imaginary Beings", by Jorge Luis Borges. Is described as an object, yet is also given a “hypothetical humanoid appearance”, with no identifiable meaning, and therefore no apparent origin.
