I lay awake at night
Pretending to watch the TV
But my mind is too busy
To pay attention to the screen
An hour has passed
And yet, I haven't taken in a thing
My own thoughts keep me company
As the screen turns into a blur
I try to focus, to calm my mind

So I lay here, wide awake
