Dear Whitney,
Here I am
still that boy from Houston,
dancing thru my days,
like Gene Kelly singing in the rain.
I am the pink panther dancing in top hat and cane.
playing through the pain.
I am trying to let go of.
Dancing through days and nights,
these artworks are part an algorithm i devised,
powered by zero point energy
potions.
to make lines come alive.
belting out of my mind,
the love I have for life.
for all to see.
in forms and shapes, mutant forms
formed by my broken hand and magic memories.
burning my mind,
a museum (of) American art designed
to make your imagination move, awaken, and rise.
inside.
sometimes in and out i writhe.
trying to connect the dots.
man vs meaning
life is so demanding
sometimes time is demeaning.
i mean no harm. hanging around here.
just kicking the clock.
This heartbeat walks.
In this art form, that I have worked to improve all of my life,
I reflect a time and place, and media, collective memories and personal iconography reflecting the speed of life and the afterglow of memories and moments of meaning still reflecting unbroken dreams of promise.
Saturday morning cartoons don't exist anymore, but somehow,
here we are.
