Psychic Pollution

STORY: Hands down, in 11 years of painting with just cans of spray paint and no brushes this is my most technically difficult painting! This took me 60 hours over a month to complete and each time i stepped out to the table to work on it the next spray could be the one that destroyed all progress and there would be no saving it, just throw it away. The individuial light rays took 3 days of me finding the courage to spray them on. I practiced my hand motions, stood there(awkwardly), ready to go and poof, confidence gone. Once i did the first one i was so excited. Then i only had to do it 10 more times. The end result is a painting that I feel truly captures the concept of creating fine art with spray paint. I worked for a week to digitally animate this painting, trying to get the look and feel i imagined while painting it.
