We don't ever really expect to see a rainbow during a storm. They just kind of show up. i think thats why they always lift our spirits and often act as beacons of hope.
My skies are currently dark. I have stage four metastatic merkel cell carcinoma. The first time was localized and it was an easy fight. This time my body feels like i have the flu constantly. i feel physically exhausted every hour of the day and I had to stop driving for uber and I moved out of the place i just moved into four months ago. Living and sleeping in my truck would normally not be a big deal to me. Nor would dealing with the stress from not having any consistent income channels. but i need real rest. i need real sleep. i need low stress. i need good food. i need my immune system in the best shape possible or my immunotherapy will be all but useless. i need to feel like i can make it over this mountain. i need hope.
i dont expect this to sell. it would definitely be unexpected. if it does, it would immediately change my life. my stress will vanish and i could spend the next four months of my treatment resting, eating, and happily making art instead of sitting in my truck feeling overwhelmed and completely paralyzed.
It would definitely be my rainbow.
