She wore her Sunday best,
lace pressed against the bones of memory,
golden crosses heavy with silence.
A thousand prayers whispered through her ribs,
yet none could stop the fading,
only illuminate it.
Now, an eye of light blooms
where thought once wandered.
Not empty,
just eternal.
She is not gone.
She is seeing
everything.
