This drawing was created in 2019, one of the very first works I made on my new iPad Pro. At the time, I was just learning how to draw digitally, experimenting with the raw frictionless surface of glass and discovering how the line could shift in this new medium. The characters emerged unconsciously, layered together as an interconnected community of faces, hats, gestures, and presence.
2019 was also the year I entered the crypto art space. This piece carries the rawness and spirit of that beginning, when artists were just starting to build what would become the foundation of today’s ecosystem. For collectors who remember the early days of SuperRare, this work is an easter egg, a hidden relic from a formative moment I am grateful for.
