Perpetual Flux, 1/1
This work was created in March 2021 as part of an accessibility statement, yet its meaning extends far beyond that single frame of reference. The piece shows a faceless figure, where identity is dissolved into static, signal, and noise. It reflects on what it means to be seen and unseen, to have presence yet be obscured, to communicate yet encounter barriers. The tension between legibility and distortion becomes a metaphor for accessibility, identity, and the shifting nature of human expression in digital space.
The work can also be read as a portrait of our contemporary condition: the self filtered through data streams, avatars, and fractured transmissions. It holds space for multiple interpretations—whether as critique, affirmation, or transformation. The GIF format keeps the figure alive in perpetual flux, never fixed, always vibrating between recognition and erasure
