Juicy Plastic - After Human
We take the sweet, juicy flesh of the earth, its temporary gift. We pass it through the millstones of our insatiable hunger, and it is reborn as something new: the eternal, inedible fruit of our consumption, that will never decay and never grant new life.
The horror of this piece is not in its strangeness. It is our present, stripped of its colorful film of illusions. We are already living on this burning landfill; we just still taste the phantom sweetness of the watermelon.
