This piece is an oil on canvas painting measuring 36 x 46inches.
It was then animated to come alive the central focus of this piece is the lamp and the flame and the amount of illumination it spreads across the spectrum. I am an artist of humble beginnings, and my stories are incomplete without the light I saw, which was a greenlight for me to pursue my dreams......
This piece is the second piece I painted in a large collection or body of works which I title "THE LANGUAGE OF LIGHT "
Light speaks before words are formed. It is the first messenger of the universe, traveling across impossible distances to tell stories of birth, death, distance, and time. Every sunrise is a sentence. Every shadow is punctuation. Every color is a shift in tone.
Spiritually and symbolically, light has long represented knowledge, truth, and revelation. To “see the light” is to understand. To be “left in the dark” is to be excluded from meaning. Across cultures and centuries, light has been the metaphor of awakening.
